Which carpet types are best for homes with pets?
A carpet’s tog rating measures its thermal insulation. Higher tog ratings offer better warmth, but for homes with underfloor heating, a combined carpet and underlay tog rating of 2.5 or less is recommended.
Laminate Flooring
Sweep or vacuum regularly and clean spills immediately. Avoid using excessive water or steam mops, as moisture can damage laminate surfaces.
Yes, we offer professional laminate flooring installation. Our team can also handle the removal of your existing flooring upon request.
While standard laminate isn’t ideal for wet areas, we offer water-resistant laminate options suitable for kitchens. For bathrooms, consider our range of Luxury Vinyl Tiles (LVT) for better moisture resistance.
Use PE foam underlay designed for laminate floors. For homes with underfloor heating, opt for underlays with reflective backing to enhance insulation.
Vinyl Flooring
Vinyl flooring is primarily designed for flat surfaces and isn’t recommended for stairs due to potential damage when bending around steps.
Most vinyl flooring comes with built-in foam or felt backing, eliminating the need for additional underlay. Adding extra underlay can compromise the flooring’s integrity.
Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Remove any existing flooring, nails, and debris to provide a smooth surface for the vinyl.
Artificial Grass
Yes, artificial grass is pet-friendly. It’s durable, easy to clean, and provides a safe play area for pets.
Regularly remove debris, rinse with water to eliminate dust, and brush the fibers to keep them upright and looking fresh.
Absolutely. Artificial grass can be laid over concrete surfaces, provided they are clean and level. Proper drainage considerations should be made during installation.
Carpet Tiles
Yes, carpet tiles are durable and ideal for areas with heavy footfall. They also allow for easy replacement of individual tiles if damaged or stained.

Rugs
Unfortunately, we do not offer custom-sized rugs. All our rugs are available in standard sizes as listed on our website.

Underlay
Underlay enhances comfort, provides insulation, and extends the life of your flooring by absorbing impact and reducing wear.
The choice of underlay depends on the flooring type and room usage. For carpets, thicker underlays offer more comfort, while laminate and vinyl require thinner underlays designed for stability and moisture resistance.
Measuring & Installation
Yes, we provide a free, no-obligation measuring service to ensure accurate flooring estimates. Please contact us to arrange appointment.
Measure the length and width at the longest points, including alcoves and doorways. Add an extra 10cm to each measurement to account for waste and fitting. Please check measuring & fitting guide information on our website.
Certainly. We can arrange for the uplift and disposal of your existing flooring for an additional fee, covering labor and landfill charges.
