The Carpet Outlet (referred to as “The Carpet Outlet/we/our/us”) operates from 161 Great Bridge St, West Bromwich, B70 0DJ. Our website and services are available to you subject to the following Terms and Conditions. As a user of this website (referred to as “you/your”), you acknowledge that any use of this website including transactions you make is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

1. General

1.1 We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Your continued use of the website signifies your acceptance of the latest Terms and Conditions.

1.2 If you are purchasing on behalf of a business, you confirm you have authority to bind the business.

1.3 Access to certain parts of the website may require registration. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login information. Any misuse must be reported to us immediately.


2. Order Process

2.1 All orders placed with us are subject to acceptance under these Terms and Conditions.

2.2 After placing your order, you will receive an acknowledgement text/email. This is not confirmation of acceptance. We will confirm stock availability and verify your order details.

2.3 A contract between you and us is formed only upon dispatch of the goods unless we have notified you otherwise or you have cancelled the order.


3. Delivery

3.1 Delivery applies to mainland UK addresses only, excluding the Highlands, Islands, and Northern Ireland.

3.2 Delivery charges and estimated timescales are detailed on our Delivery Information page. While we aim to deliver within estimated times, unforeseen delays may occur. We are not liable for delays outside our control.

3.3 Risk of loss passes to you once delivery is attempted or completed.

3.4 Deliveries are to the external front door or kerbside. Our drivers are not obligated to carry items inside or upstairs unless agreed upon and at their discretion.

3.5 We strongly advise not booking installers or fitters until you have received and checked your goods. We are not liable for any associated costs or lost time due to delivery issues.

3.6 Larger or heavier deliveries may require your assistance.


4. Payment

4.1 Payment is taken at the point of order via card, account transfer or cash.

4.2 We may validate your personal information with third-party databases to prevent fraud.

4.3 In the case of pricing errors, we reserve the right to cancel or re-confirm your order.

4.4 Goods remain our property until full payment is received.

4.5 Prices are shown in £ sterling and include VAT unless stated otherwise.


5. Returns, Cancellations and Substitutions

5.1 You may cancel and return your order within 60 days unless goods have been cut to size (bespoke orders). You are responsible for return costs and ensuring goods are securely packaged.

5.2 If your order arrives damaged or defective, please notify us before installation. We cannot offer refunds or exchanges once goods are cut or fitted.

5.3 Product specifications may occasionally change. In such cases, we will offer a suitable alternative or refund.

5.4 Items returned must be packaged appropriately and made available for kerbside collection.


6. Intellectual Property

6.1 All intellectual property rights on the website remain with The Carpet Outlet or our licensors.

6.2 You may only use website materials for personal, non-commercial purposes.


7. Liability and Indemnity

7.1 Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

7.2 We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free use of the website and accept no responsibility for any technical issues.

7.3 Our total liability shall not exceed the value of the goods ordered.

9. Carpet & Flooring Specific Conditions of Sale

9.1 Please check your flooring upon delivery for correct quality, size, and condition before booking fitting. We cannot accept responsibility for costs incurred due to fitting incorrect or damaged goods.

9.2 Some carpets may show slight colour variations between different production batches. Exact matches across different widths or different orders cannot be guaranteed.

9.3 Pile shading is a natural characteristic of carpets and is not considered a manufacturing defect.

9.4 All dimensions are within British Standard tolerances of +/- 1.25%.

9.5 Delivery dates provided are estimates. We are not liable for any fitting or labour costs due to late delivery.
